The Debt & the Doormat
Poppy and Jazz are best friends even though they are the complete opposite of one another. Poppy is responsible workaholic and some what of a prude! Jazz is a party girl without a care in the world, which is what gets her into trouble. After Jazz realizes she is in debt from her wanna be lavish lifestyle she goes to Poppy for help and they come up with an unconventional solution. They're going to swap lives, Jazz now has to a responsible, fragile person and drop her partying ways and Poppy has to let go and let her inhibitions flow. While Poppy is living Jazz's life she has to move into Jazz's house with her 3 roommates! Grace, a snoopy B, Izzy an overexcited personal trainer, and Ryan a sexy, mysterious playboy.
There's lots of wine, snobby moms, and nosey co-workers, what more can we ask for!?
Okay, this book is free on amazon and my only advice is go one click it... NOW! Laura Barnard is a chick-lit genius! It's classic yet completely original! I laughed out loud, literally, laughed! I stayed up all night to read this because I pulled the whole "one more chapter" thing until I finished it. Poppy is a mess, she reminds me, of me! I can totally relate to the string of bad luck that just seems to follow her. I'm one clicking the second book, The Baby & the Bride as I'm writing this!
